Something's fishy... very fishy...

I have no excuse! Oh wait, yes I do. Here it is:

My brother came home from school today with books from the library. He had a Digital Photography and Cool Tricks book thing, and I flipped through it (didn't understand a word, it was all in German). Guess what? THEY SHOWED TUTORIALS ON PHOTO-MANIPS. They made me laugh so much my tummy hurt XD

So, I couldn't understand the German, but judging from the pictures they showed how to put together stock photos in a manip (they put a tiger head on a kid and put the kid on a new background), how to use the liquify filter for hilarious results, and how to make a lizard person.

The lizard person thing was almost literally made of FAIL.
It shows that if you copy and paste and iguanas eye onto the pic, you've got lizard eyes. Then you very lazily slop a scaley texture onto the skin of the person, so it looks very bright green and fake looking. THEN YOU PASTE ON A DOG'S TONGUE. Very badly by the way, the top of it was obviously not blended very well

So it inspired me
I looked for faces and hands (sadly, found no faces AND hands, so no hands at all) and made some silly things!
This one is a liquify filter "silly thing" with HAND DRAWN SCALES! And those scales looked terrible so I lowered the opacity and put the layer on Overlay.

To tell the truth, this is much better than the manips in that book. I'm not joking.

Also, my brothers mum said that she wasn't "alien enough" so she became blue and green and purple, instead of being orangey and tan like I originally planned. Oh well, I still love this XD

Not one of my bestest best manips, but definitely one I like!
I know the hair on her neck is a bit odd with colouring and stuff, but I can't be bothered colouring in all the little lines at the moment. I did do the eyebrows though! Detail!

(It's a very beautiful picture, but after I'd been fiddling around with liquify I thought my version was cuter. Must be my insanity, or the HUGE eyes. I think it's the eyes. The original is still of course pretty!)
